Rio Ferdinand Foundations’ New Ambassador racing driver, Clayton Kingman

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with British racing driver, Clayton Kingman. Clayton has some impressive achievements to date and a unique journey from ‘Twitter to Track’.

Clayton has been an avid racing motor racing fan since child hood, his career was kick started by a conversation on Twitter. This conversation led to Clayton securing sponsorship to build a car and on to competing in the Dunlop VAG Trophy, an achievement he never thought possible. Since then, Clayton has risen up both on and off the tracks, gaining a large following of fans and inspiring others to follow in his footsteps. His story demonstrates how anyone can realise their potential through handwork and determination.

RFF is honoured to be chosen as Clayton’s ‘Charity of the Year 2018.’ He is a great role model and his journey embodies RFF’s mission, of inspiring and enabling young people to reach their full potential.

Clayton will be proudly displaying the Foundations’ logo on his race kit and representing us as an official Ambassador which means our work will come to the attention of race fans across the globe. We’ll also be working closely with Clayton throughout the year to develop a variety of events and media initiatives which raises both of our profiles and shines a light on the issues faced by young people and the growing need to support those most vulnerable, to reach their potential.

We can’t wait to see how well Clayton does in this fast-paced and exciting industry this year, we believe his story will help inspire our young people and help them believe with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

Massive thanks to Clayton for choosing the Rio Ferdinand Foundation as his Charity of the Year 2018! Watch this space to see what exciting opportunities this partnership brings in the coming year.
